➢SPECIFICATION:
▶ UNIQUE ABILITY:
WIFI 6:
They support Wi-Fi 6/802.11ax features like Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) uplink and downlink, BSS coloring, and Downlink Multi-User MIMO (MU-MIMO).
- OFDMA:-
APs can handle multiple 802.11ax cap clients on each channel simultaneously, regardless of device type or traffic type. Using smaller sub-carriers or resource units (RUs), clients can share a channel without competing for bandwidth or airtime
- Bi-directional Multi-User MIMO (MU-MIMO)
As with Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac Wave 2), these Series access points offer both downlink and uplink MU-MIMO for simultaneous client access. By multiplying the number of clients that can send traffic, optimizes client-to-AP spatial stream diversity.
▶ WI-FI OPTIMIZATION
AI-powered ClientMatch technology guides clients to the best AP based on their radio signal strength. To improve user experience, ClientMatch dynamically steers traffic to the best load balancers.
- Aruba AirMatch optimizes networks using machine learning to provide a better user experience.
- Through AirMatch, effective isotropic radiating power (EIRP) is distributed evenly to radios, reducing co-channel interference.
Using Air Slice users have application assurance beyond airtime fairness, which automatically adjusts radio resources based on the SLAs assigned.
- Continuous monitoring and report energy consumption and temperature.
- PoE power can be used to enable or disable AP capabilities - ideal when wired switches have exhausted their power budgets. IPM also prevents overheating by disabling features when temperatures reach a certain threshold.
In this technology, interference from commercial small cells or femtocells is minimized through built-in filtering.
▶IOT CAPABILITIES
A high-powered Bluetooth and 802.15.4/Zigbee radio enable IoT applications to achieve maximum performance and range.
Incorporating Bluetooth and Zigbee capabilities simplifies IoT deployment and management, especially for location services, asset tracking, security, and IoT sensors. An overlay infrastructure or additional IT resources are not required.
With built-in filtering, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Zigbee radios perform at their maximum ability without interfering each other.
Designed for IoT solutions that communicate infrequently, Wi-Fi 6 allows devices to use 802.11ax protocol. With TWT, clients can sleep for extended periods and communicate during shorter wake times before returning to sleep. It substantially extends the battery life of sensors powered by Wi-Fi 6.
▶ SECURITY:
Aruba's 580 Series helps protect wireless traffic and authentication with a SASE and zero-trust security approach. Some of the capabilities include
WPA3 and Enhanced Open
- Wi-Fi 6-certified clients will never transmit unencrypted traffic with WPA3 and Enhanced Open.
- Enhanced Open provides strong encryption over the air even with an open authenticated network.
- Every Wi-Fi 6 session is unique and encrypted, and it changes if the user disconnects and reconnects.
WPA2-MPSK
MPSK simplifies WPA2 passkey management - if one device's Wi-Fi password changes, others don't need to change too. When ClearPass Policy Manager is used, this feature is enabled.
PRODUCT FEATURES:
▶ Additional Wifi benefits:
- Transmission beamforming (TxBF) increases signal reliability and range
- With Passpoint Release 2, guests have seamless cellular-to-WiFi carryover
- Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) optimizes RF spectrum use
- Multi-antenna receiver performance improved by maximum ratio combining (MRC).
- Multiple transmit antennas can be enabled through cyclic delay/shift diversity (CDD/CSD).
- SPBC (Space-Time Block Coding) increases robustness of connections
- High-performance error detection and correction coding is used in Low-Density Parity Check (LDPC) to enhance receiver performance.
▶ HARDWARE:
- Built-in Omni-directional antennas (polarized in both directions H & V)
- 5Ghz Antennas with 4.5dBi uncorrelated average (5.8dBi peak)
- Average 3.0dBi uncorrelated antennas (peak: 4.4dBi)
- Bluetooth antenna with a peak gain of 4.8dBi
WFI RADIOS:
Type: Hardened outdoor, Wi-Fi 6, 802.11 ax 4x4 MIMO 5GHz, and 2.4GHz
- 5GHz radio: Up to 2.4Gbps SU-MIMO rate with 4SS HE80 (or 2SS HE160) 802.11ax clients, or dual 4SS HE80 802.11ax clients simultaneously.
- 2.4GHz radio: Four spatial streams single user MIMO up to 1,150Mbps with two 2SS HE40 802.11ax MU-MIMO clients
- Each radio supports 1,024 associated client devices (normally 100-200 depending on distance) and 16 BSSIDs
WIFI ANTENNA:
Antenna gain of 4.4dBi in 2.4GHz and 5.8dBi in 5GHz with four integrated dual-band Omni-directional antennas. Built-in antennas are optimized for horizontal mounting of the AP. For maximum gain, downtilt should be approximately 10 degrees.
- Combining the patterns of the antennas of the MIMO radios, the peak gain of the combined, average pattern is 3.0dBi at 2.4GHz and 4.5dBi at 5GHz.
Azimuth (0 degrees) and 30 degrees downtilt patterns (averaged for all applicable antennas) on horizontal planes (top view)
(Average patterns for all antennas) Vertical (elevation) planes (side view, AP facing down)

POWER SOURCE:
- Supports both direct AC power and Power over Ethernet
- Whenever both AC and POE are available, AC takes precedence
- When AP is powered by AC, it supports 802.3af/at (with thermal limitations).
NOTE 1:- IPM reduces power requirements when enabled based on policies.
- When powered by Class 6 802.3bt, the AP will operate without restriction, limiting the support for 802.3af PSEs.
NOTE 2:- With IPM enabled, the AP adjusts power consumption and reduces it accordingly
- With 802.3bt Class 5 and LLDP, full functionality is supported, but PSE isn't
- Powered by 802.3at, AP will only use 2 chains and disable PSE
- When powered by 802.3af, AP will boot up but it will not have any radios.
- IPM allows APs to adjust power requirements and reduce power when necessary.
NOTE: Power source is sold separately.
POWER CONSUMPTION:
Maximum (worst-case) power consumption:
- AC power: 71W (802.3af/at*)
- Powered by POE (802.3bt Class 6): 49.5W (802.3af PSE only)
- With POE (802.3bt Class 5 with LLDP): 35.5W (no PSE).
- With POE power (802.3at, IPM disabled): 25.5W (2 chains @ 2.4 GHz, 2 chains @ 5 GHz, no PSE)
- Idle power consumption (worst-case): 9.2W (POE) or 10.8W (AC)
- In deep-sleep mode, the maximum power consumption is 3.0W (POE) or 4.4W (AC).
