As a passive optical system, Syrotech's CWDM is designed to support optical networking applications, such as high-speed data communication for metropolitan area networks (MANs) over a grid of eight CWDM optical wavelengths, both in the ring and point-to-point configurations.

By combining up to 16 CWDM wavelengths over the same fiber pair, this CWDM passive 2,4, 8, and 16-channel multiplexer series significantly reduces fiber laying and renting costs.

With coarse wavelength division multiplexing (CWDM), fiber optic networks can be expanded without adding more fiber. Multiplexers and demultiplexers play a key role in CWDM systems. It is usually used to increase the fiber cable's capacity by transmitting multiple wavelengths over one fiber, usually up to 18 different signals. This CWDM optical switch is perfect for short-range communication distance because of its eight optical wavelengths and it support 4 channels.

To Deploy-

Step A: Mount the rack-mount chassis in a 19-inch cabinet or rack.

Step B: Position the single-fiber CWDM Mux Demux on chassis shelf, gently pushing it into the cavity.  

Step C: Plug it into the switch. And also, connect these CWDM transceivers to the corresponding ports and wavelengths of the TX and RX, with single-mode patch cable.

Step D: To test the performance of whole cwdm network, connect it to two CWDM transceivers.
