• Gigabit Smart Managed Industrial Switches are designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions. With IP30-rated metal casing, these switches are protected from unwanted effects while operating in strong electromagnetic interference (EMC) environments. Surge protection of 6 kV is built into all copper ports of the DIS-200G Series switches to prevent damage from power surges and lightning strikes. 
• Ethernet Ring Protection Switching (ERPS) and dual power inputs make the switch robust. This high redundancy design includes layer 2 functions such as  IEEE 802.1Q, port-based VLAN, IEEE 802.1p Quality of Service (QoS), STP/RSTP/MSTP, port mirroring, link aggregation, bandwidth control, IGMP/MLD Snooping and auto-Surveillance VLAN 2.0 (ASV 2.0).

• Smart switches support ERPS quick failover recovery for ring topologies. It ensures minimal downtime and prevents data loss in mission-critical environments. They also support an Auto-Surveillance VLAN (ASV) feature that detects surveillance devices automatically and places them in a dedicated VLAN segment traffic. As the switch provides greater security for surveillance data and prioritizes the traffic, live video won't freeze or delay. Loopback detection and cable diagnostics make it easy for troubleshooting.
