SPECIFICATION:
UNIQUE ABILITY:
WIFI 6:
As a Wi-Fi 6/802.11ax-based AP, this series supports features like Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) both up and downlink, BSS coloring, Downlink Multi-User MIMO (MU-MIMO), and cell co-location.
- OFDMA:-
With this capability, APs can handle multiple 802.11ax cap clients on each channel at the same time, regardless of device type or traffic type. By handling each transaction via smaller sub-carriers or resource units (RUs), clients can share a channel and not compete for airtime or bandwidth.
- Bi-directional Multi-User MIMO (MU-MIMO)
These Series access points provide simultaneous access to clients using downlink MU-MIMO and now uplink spatial streams, similar to Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac Wave 2). This optimizes client-to-AP spatial stream diversity by multiplying the number of clients that can send traffic.
WI-FI OPTIMIZATION
Using patented AI-powered ClientMatch technology, clients can be guided to an AP that receives the best radio signal. Additionally, ClientMatch dynamically steers traffic to load balance APs in order to improve user experience.
- Aruba AirMatch automates network optimization using machine learning to improve the user experience and provide greater stability.
- Dynamic bandwidth adjustments and real-time channel assignment are used to mitigate co-channel interference through an even distribution of Effective Isotropic Radiated Power (EIRP) to radios through AirMatch.
Air Slice provides application assurance to its users that goes beyond the traditional capabilities of airtime fairness. As new users connect and application sessions begin or end, Air Slice automatically adjusts radio resources based on the SLAs configured.
- Energy consumption and temperature are continuously monitored and reported by Aruba 580 Series APs.
- PoE power can be used to enable and disable capabilities of APs - ideal when wired switches have exhaustion of their power budgets. Furthermore, IPM prevents overheating by disabling features when APs approach the maximum temperature limit.
This technology features built-in filtering to minimize the effect of interference from cellular networks, DASs, and commercial small cells or femtocells.
IOT CAPABILITIES
Bluetooth and 802.15.4/Zigbee radios ensure maximum range and performance for IoT applications. A built-in Bluetooth and Zigbee capability simplifies deploying and managing IoT-based location services, asset tracking services, security solutions, and IoT sensors. IT resources and overlay infrastructure are not required.
Filters keep Wi-Fi and Bluetooth/Zigbee radios working at full capacity without interference.
- With Wi-Fi 6, IoT devices can use the 802.11ax protocol, which is ideal for IoT solutions that communicate infrequently.
- Allows IoT devices to sleep for extended periods and wake briefly to communicate before returning to sleep with TWT.
- Substantially extends the battery life of Wi-Fi 6 sensors powered by batteries.
SECURITY:
Helps to protect user authentication and wireless traffic with its SASE and zero-trust security approach.
▶ WPA3 and Enhanced Open
- With WPA3 and Enhanced Open, Wi-Fi 6-certified clients will never send unencrypted traffic. Enhanced Open provides strong encryption over the air even with open authentication network.
- Encryption for every Wi-Fi 6 user session changes from session to session if the user disconnects and reconnects.
▶ WPA2-MPSK
Simplifies WPA2 passkey management - if the Wi-Fi password changes on one device, other devices do not need to change as well. When ClearPass Policy Manager is deployed, this feature is enabled.
PRODUCT FEATURES:
▶ Additional Wifi benefits :
- Increasing the reliability and range of signals through transmit beamforming (TxBF)
- Passpoint Release 2 provides seamless cellular-to-WiFi carryover for guests
- Optimized use of RF spectrum with Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS)
- Improved receiver performance for multi-antenna access points through maximum ratio combining (MRC).
- Multiple transmit antennas are enabled through cyclic delay/shift diversity (CDD/CSD)
- Increased robustness of connections using Space-Time Block Coding (STBC)
- For enhanced receiver performance, Low-Density Parity Check (LDPC) uses high-performance error detection and correction coding.
▶ Hardware:
- External antenna connectors with four dual-band Nf connectors
- Bluetooth/Zigbee radio with 2.4 GHz NFC connector for the wireless IoT system.
- Includes a -5dBi Omni-directional antenna.
wifi radios:
Type: Outdoor Hardened, Wi-Fi 6 dual radio, 802.11ax 4x4 MIMO 5GHz, and 2.4GHz
- 5GHz radio: Up to 2.4Gbps SU-MIMO rate with individual 4SS HE80 (or 2SS HE160) 802.11ax client devices, or simultaneous 4SS or 2SS HE80 802.11ax MU-MIMO clients.
- 2.4GHz radio: Four spatial stream Single User (SU) MIMO with up to 1,150Mbps with single HE40 802.11ax client device or two 2SS HE40 802.11ax MU-MIMO clients

POWER SOURCE:
- Supports direct AC power and Power over Ethernet (POE; on port E0 only)
- AC power takes precedence over POE if both sources are available
- The AP is powered by AC, so it supports 802.3af/at (with thermal limitations).

- AP will operate without restrictions when powered by Class 6 802.3bt, limiting 802.3af PSE support.
NOTE 2:- When IPM enabled, the AP will adjust power consumption, and reduce according to policy
- When powered by 802.3bt Class 5 with LLDP, full functionality is supported, but PSE is not available
- Powered by 802.3at, AP will only use 2 chains and disable PSE
- AP will boot up when powered by 802.3af, but no radios will be enabled.
- When IPM is enabled, the AP adjusts power requirements to meet requirements, and will reduce power as necessary.
NOTE: Power sources are sold separately
POWER CONSUMPTION:
Maximum (worst-case) power consumption:
- AC power: 71W (802.3af/at*)
- Powered by POE (802.3bt Class 6): 49.5W (802.3af PSE only)
