- These D Link 1510 series are the latest generation from the 1210 series. Featuring a CLI interface, serial console port, web-based user interface, and network capabilities (VLAN, multiple spanning tree protocols, link aggregation, static routing, multiple firmware images, and multiple configuration files), this switch is equipped with advanced L3 management features.
- Physical stacks of up to 6 units can be created using direct attach cables or compatible SFP+ transceivers for 288-gigabit ports. In addition, the remaining uplink ports can provide 10G connectivity to core networks and servers.
- To protect against malicious service attacks via broadcast, multicast and unicast flooding, IGMP snooping, access control lists, port security, and the Safeguard Engine are enabled. It is an excellent solution for enterprise networks to use these intelligent gigabit switches.
- In VoIP and video deployments, Auto Surveillance and Voice VLAN are the most suitable technologies. With a single Smart Managed switch, businesses can consolidate data and video transmissions, saving money on hardware and infrastructure. IPv6 functionalities such as security features, QOS, and MLD snooping are used to integrate seamlessly with next-generation networks.
- D-Link Network Assistant is a web-based management interface that makes setting up, configuring, and managing networks remotely easy. With these CLIs and SNMPs, a large number of connected devices can be managed centrally. This provides device access when a connection is lost or a switch is overloaded. It incorporates IEEE 802.3az technology that automatically reduces the power consumption of low-level traffic when it is in use.
- Pricing-wise, these Smart managed POE switches are next-generation 1210 & 1250 series. Even though this switch is slightly more expensive than the 1210 & 1250 series, it is affordable compared to other top-level brands.
