The device was built in compliance with MSA standards and has been serialized and data traffic and application tested to ensure seamless integration into your network. It is also possible to access real-time operating parameters through digital optical monitoring (DOM).

A QSFP-40G-PSM-LR4 optical transceiver for 40 Gigabit Ethernet applications is a 4-lane Parallel Single Mode fiber (QSFP+ PSM). With 4 independent transmit and receive channels, the QSFP+ LR4 full-duplex optical transceiver provides an aggregate data rate of 40Gb/s over 10km of G.652 single-mode fiber. In addition to the 12-fiber MPO (MTP) connector on the optical interface, the QSFP+ PSM LR4 transceiver uses a z-pluggable 38-pin connector that is MSA-compliant. It is possible to connect an optical fiber ribbon cable with an MPO(MTP) connector to the QSFP+ transceiver receptacle. As a result, the system has a higher port density and lower total cost.
