D-Link's DSS-100E-18P is a Power over Ethernet (PoE) Surveillance Switch that is part of their premier PoE Surveillance Switch series. It is the safest, most reliable, and most versatile solution that can be used for surveillance deployments of all types. With this Unmanaged Surveillance Switch, Wireless Access Points (APs), IP cameras, and IP phones can easily be connected and powered. Also compatible with computers, printers, and Network Attached Storage (NAS), the DSS-100E-18P can connect to other Ethernet devices.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

• D Link POE surveillance Switch enables long-range PoE network connections that simplify power source, cable deployment, and distance issues. As compared to the commercial switch, they must add each 100M. This Poe switch utilizes 250 M with a transmission data rate of 10 Mbps 
• Integrated with one Gigabit Ethernet and one Gbe/SFP uplink port which makes it ideal to expand your business network bandwidth. Gigabit Ethernet port offers redundancy to transfer both data and voice reliably. By adding this surveillance switch with PoE Extender, it powered up to a distance of 650 meters at the rate of 10 Mbps. This is compatible with Network Attached Storage, Indoor/outdoor IP cameras, Laptops, desktops, and POE extenders.

• These 6 KV surge protection will protect the switch against lightning strikes and feature IEEE 802.3 af /at a protocol. This switch automatically detects when network traffic passes through over port. There are three types of flexible modes available: Standard, Isolation, and Extended modes.
• In this Standard Mode, all the ports communicate with each other and work as an unmanaged switch. POE will be supported on ports 1 to 16 for up to 100 meters, at data rates of 10/100 Mbps. In order to optimize the port cache, ports 1 to 8 will support port priority.

• This Isolation mode is to enhance security, by separating ports 1 to 16 and communication has done through 17 and 18 ports. This will help to protect the network from tampering.

• The Extended Mode helps to extend the range of the connection to over 100m and to increase the range even more a Poe extender is necessary.

• When compared to other brands, this D Link POE surveillance switch is effective with its features and has an affordable price. We can reduce the cost of the switch by using a commercial one instead.
