- These Smart Managed Switches provide real value as an Enterprise Access/Aggregation solution for Small-to-Medium Businesses (SMBs). Their features include a Console Port with full CLI, multiple management interfaces, 11 web languages, QoS, and Advanced Layer-2 with Lite Layer-3 functions.
- With 24 or 48 10/100/1000BASE-T ports, these gigabit smart managed switches also support 4 x 10G SFP+ ports for optical connections with multimode or single-mode SFP transceivers - giving you real network power at a great price.
- Dual images and configuration functionalities with console ports make easy
- configuration, troubleshooting, and other function without interrupting network operations. Full Command Line Interface (CLI) facilitates the configuration of switches without requiring an Internet connection. Network issues, interruptions, and downtime can be overcome by using Spanning Tree Protocol (STP/RSTP/MSTP).
- The D-Link 1250 series switch is integrated with auto-configuration features such as Auto Voice VLAN and Surveillance Mode. This allows us to identify and handle both voice and video traffic differently from regular network traffic. With Auto Voice VLAN, VoIP traffic is automatically segmented from the rest of the network and enhances security.
- These Gigabit switches feature IGMP snooping, Port Mirroring, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), and Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) with advanced features such as Static Routing, which facilitates communication between different segments of a VLAN.IEEE 802.3x Flow Control function allows connecting directly through the server for reliable and fast data transfer in the network.
- Users can remotely control their network to the port level with D-Link Network Assistant (DNA). Through DNA, customers have the opportunity to discover and access multiple D-Link Smart Managed Switches in the same L2 network segment instantly.
- When comes to pricing, these series switches are a little more expensive when compared to the previous version of the Smart managed switch. Smart gigabit switches are the perfect solution for SMBs and SMEs.
Security & Authentication
- For strict network access control, IEEE 802.1X port-based/host-based access control, guest VLANs, and RADIUS/TACACS+ authentication is supported.
- IP-MAC-Port Binding (IMPB) allows administrators to link source IP addresses with MAC addresses and define the port numbers to enhance user security.
- D-Link Safeguard Engine automatically traps packets and logs events in broadcast, multicast, and unicast flooding situations to ensure CPU protection.
- Access Control List (ACL) feature increases the reliability of switches and adds security to networks.
Managing Capabilities
- Provides administrators with advanced management features, such as auto-configuration of DHCP.
- When switches are assigned an IP address, they can load their configuration from a TFTP server, facilitating central management.
- Support Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP), allows administrators to better manage their network topology by identifying a device's capabilities and identity.
- Cable diagnostics enable remote troubleshooting of cable length and functionality problems, resulting in lower management overhead.
Bandwidth & Traffic Control
- Bandwidth control system allows administrators to set throughput levels for ingress and egress.
- Port mirroring facilitates traffic diagnostics and helps administrators track network performance by dropping packets when they exceed a set threshold.
- To optimize available bandwidth, IGMP snooping with IGMP authentication is provided.
web Interface
Multicast Applications
- The L2 multicast functions include IGMP snooping, IGMP filtering, fast leave, and multicast traffic configuration.
- ISM VLAN sends multicast streams in a multicast VLAN, saving bandwidth on the backbone, using host-based IGMP/MLD snooping
- Users can bind or replace predefined multicast registration information quickly and easily using ISM VLAN profiles

POWER BUDGETS
Using IEEE 802.3az Energy-Efficient Ethernet (EEE) standard, the network automatically reduces power consumption when there is no traffic. POE switches will be configured with this custom profile and no unnecessary power consumption will occur during off-peak hours.
