- There are several L2 features included in the DGS-1210 Series, including IGMP, snooping, port mirroring, Spanning Tree Protocol, and Link Aggregation Control Protocol.

- Static routes are also supported by the DGS-1210 Series, allowing network administrators to divide the network into VLANs for enhanced performance.
- It automatically detects and shuts down switching loops, which speeds up troubleshooting.
- Cable diagnostics is designed primarily for administrators and customer service representatives to determine cable quality and identify errors quickly.
ENHANCED CONFIGURATION
- Support auto voice VLAN and surveillance mode which allows handling voice and video traffic differently than the regular network traffic.
- It detects VOIP traffic and automatically segments it from the rest of it network.
- Surveillance Mode detects ONVIF cames and places them in VLAN which makes it handle voice, video, and data removal for dedicated hardware.

ACCESS CONTROL
- Innovative safeguard engine from the D Link switches helps to protect from malicious attack.
- 802.1X port-based authentication supports the client to authenticate the external Radius server.
- Spoofing prevention of Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) helps to protect the network from attacks capable of sniffing data frames, modifying traffic, or even halting traffic indefinitely.
- To help ARP snooping from the network the ACL helps to block the invalid packet from the ARP message.
- DHCP Screening prevents IP addresses from being assigned to unauthorized ports
VERSATILE MANAGEMENT
- Administrators can remotely control their network down to the port level using D-Link Network Assistant (DNA).
- Through this DNA will simultaneously change passwords and firewall upgradation for all discovered devices.
- Through Telnet, D-View 7.0 and Command Line Interface (CLI) are supported. With D-View 7.0, network assets can be managed centrally, configurations can be made remotely, and logging can be performed.
